What are the responsibilities of the Seneschal? The "President" of the local group or Kingdom, he or she is the legal representative for the local group or Kingdom. This is taken from an Old French word which designated the head of the servants in a castle or manor, tasked with the running to the household, and in later times was given judicial tasks as well. Here you find links pertaining to those responsibilities. Please feel free to contact me if you have any questions about our Shire, or the SCA, and I will be happy to help!
